We have had the pleasure of designing events for groups around town as a promotional tool for their venue, cause and even practice. With 20+ years as engaged performers, technicians and spectators, Bang! has the ability to pull from many of the amazing resources Atlanta has to offer from the theatrical, the musical, the visual art and even death defying aerialists and moving bodies to create an event that is both visually as well as aurally stimulating. We really have a ton of fun doing this … in fact we even like waking up in the morning to do our jobs.

CASE STUDY: FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR PUSHPUSH, EL FANTASMA:

EL FANTASMA lobby performance

In the spring of 2010, PushPush (an arts incubator and theatrical performance group out of Decatur, GA) put out a call that they were looking for someone to help them with their marketing. After a few meetings, it was decided that the best way Bang! could market PushPush was via the creation of an art party celebrating Atlanta performance. November 20th, 2010, EL FANTASMA happened at their space marking what they called, “One of the most successful parties we have had at PushPush in a long time.”

For EL FANTASMA, Bang! gathered different performing groups around town to transform the PushPush space, in its entirety, into a three ringed circus complete with a ghostly barker (performed by Berny Clark) announcing different main stage events. Flight of Swallows (aerial and music improvisation), The Imperial Opa (circus), Ghosts Project (long-time local Atlanta band), The Sugar Dolls (cupcake mavens), Madame de la Mita (tarot) and Megan Jean and The KFB (Charleston avant Americana duo) were all on deck to perform that evening. There was a silent auction and an art auction (where every item sold off the walls!). PBR was a generous sponsor for the event. It was a combination of spectacle and spectacular, all to raise funds to support the artistic development projects at PushPush.

Here are some photos from the event, taken by the very talented Justin Hadley:
